Howard County Man-to-Man Prostate Cancer
Support Group – Overview

● Mission: Provide invaluable help to men coping with prostate cancer through support, education, and community.

● Two meetings each month (Zoom and in-person), led by peers featuring discussions on prostate cancer, treatment options, side effects, and coping mechanisms.

● In-person meetings encourage open discussions.

● Zoom meeting to accommodate travel constraints.

● Current Membership: consists of 75 members fostering personal connections.

● Support Efforts: Offer one-on-one visits with survivors, promote community education initiatives, collaborate with healthcare professionals including Howard County Department of Health and Office on Aging and Independence

● History: Meeting continuously for 15+ years, yet under the radar. Now encouraging greater awareness of prostate cancer and of our support group.
